Science SEN Teacher\n\nDoncaster | Full-Time | Competitive Salary (Dependent on Experience)\n\nTradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established trust of specialist schools in Doncaster for an enthusiastic and dedicated Science SEN Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple schools within the trust, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs while delivering engaging and accessible Science lessons that inspire curiosity and confidence.\n\nThis role is ideal for a passionate teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and has the ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Science SEN Teacher, you will deliver high-quality Science lessons to secondary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work across a number of schools within the trust, collaborating with experienced colleagues to provide an engaging, inclusive and supportive learning environment where every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.\n\nMany of the pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and may present with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or communication needs.

Your ability to differentiate learning and build positive relationships will be key to helping pupils achieve their full potential.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPlan and deliver engaging Science lessons that are differentiated to meet individual learning needs.\nInspire pupils to develop confidence, curiosity and a positive attitude towards Science.\nAdapt teaching strategies and resources to ensure all learners can access the curriculum.\nSupport pupils in achieving their individual EHCP outcomes where applicable.\nCreate a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.\nMonitor, assess and record pupil progress, adapting teaching where required.\nWork collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists and wider multi-disciplinary teams.\nPromote positive behaviour through consistent and restorative approaches.\nMaintain the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.\n\nThe Ideal Candidate\n\nWe are looking for someone who:\n\nHolds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).\nHas experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4.\nHas experience working with pupils with SEND or a genuine passion for specialist education.\nCan confidently differentiate lessons to meet a wide range of learning abilities.\nHas excellent classroom management and communication skills.\nIs patient, resilient and committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.\nCan build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.\nHolds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one).\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nThe opportunity to work across a respected trust of specialist schools in Doncaster.\nCompetitive rates of pay, dependent on experience.\nOngoing support from a dedicated Tradewind Recruitment consultant.\nAccess to free, accredited CPD through The National College.\nOpportunities for long-term career development within specialist education.\nWeekly pay and a straightforward payroll process.\n\nWhy Join Tradewind Recruitment?\n\nTradewind Recruitment is one of the UK's leading education recruitment agencies, renowned for matching talented education professionals with rewarding opportunities.
