\nWe have several Locally Employed Doctors posts available. Applications are invited for the 6‑month fixed‑term post at Cherrywood Outpatient Unit and Aspen/Oak inpatient unit, Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester; starting as soon as possible. This post would ideally suit those who have previous experience in Psychiatry, or those without but who want to try out Psychiatry prior to CT1/ST application. The Trust will help appointees with their application for Speciality Training. The Education Programmes are mandatory throughout the Trust. This post offers an excellent introduction to Psychiatry.
\nThe Consultant body has a variety of special interests and offers many opportunities for trainees to explore and expand knowledge and experience through discussion with consultants. Areas of special interest include forensic and rehabilitation, liaison, community Psychiatry, child & adolescent Psychiatry including inpatient CAMHS services (regional), new ways of working, information technology and service redesign. For those considering application, a visit to one of the departments is encouraged.
\nThe pay band will be £32,389 to £49,923 depending on level of experience.
Main Duties of the Job\nWe provide high-quality mental health and learning disability services, both inpatient and in the community across five boroughs of Greater Manchester – Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, and Glossop.
