Production Manager, Downstream

The role of the Production Manager for Downstream manufacturing is to be a key Leader in the manufacturing organisation or in a functional support organisation. To develop and maintain a healthy high performing team, which executes the strategic plan to consistently deliver high quality products in a compliant, efficient and cost effective manner.Time horizon is week to week with a midterm (up to 1 year) focus.AccountabilitiesBecome a process or functional expert and serve as a technical or functional resource and coach for the team. Ensure the consistent attainment of company standards in relation to GMP- right first time execution, accurate data, timely close out of DR’s/CAPA/Change Control, aseptic practice and housekeeping standards. Coordinates or leads investigations in Quality and other loss control incidents in DM. Demonstrating transformational leadership to drive a culture of continuous improvement, working with the existing team review and improve processes, so they are accurate and lean.EHS, ensure compliance with Seqirus guidelines and policies as well as UK legislation, safety management develop a behavioural safety culture. Coordinates or leads investigations in HSEHR. recruitment, management, disciplinary, grievance, and administrative procedures.Develops, leads & champions changes, innovations and improvements. Participates in all project teams in DMRuns and supports cross functional meeting processes as required in DM.Manages KPIs including reporting for DM.Supports Process Lead – deputies for meetings, plus present updatesDevelops trains, communicates to, and supports DM teams and the production area as required.Scheduling of production/services activities as well as co-ordinating equipment/systems/process maintenance and validation Education RequirementsDegree level desirable in technical subject or demonstrated competence in similar roles. Experience RequirementsSeveral years industry experience with extensive knowledge of cGMP.
