Product Controller – Capital Markets

Job Description: Job Title: Product Controller – Capital Markets Corporate Title: Officer Location: Chester Role Description: The role will encompass a mix of financial control processes, revenue management, balance sheet control, analysis, reporting and interaction with the IBK and Capital Markets business. Key areas of responsibility will include: Calculation & booking of revenue in the Sub/General Ledgers and Management Reporting systems (Finman, BUCS, Green Sheets, Navigator etc.) Month End responsibilities including preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations Revenue sharing GL entries between Global Banking & Global Markets and investigation of associated queries Pipeline management and tracking of deals, involving liaising with front office to maintain the accuracy of the pipeline Preparing client invoices for fees and expenses, liaising with tax and other internal groups as necessary Managing balance sheet receivables by working with the business to ensure invoices are settled, monitoring cash receipts and processing settlements Involvement with aspects of transfer pricing / service fees Working with Treasury Finance to manage and level FX exposure Ad-hoc and routine analysis The Team: The EMEA GCIB Finance organisation provides financial & product control support for the Investment Banking & Capital Markets businesses. The EMEA GCIB Finance organisation consists of employees based in 4 locations. We cover 4 main sub-LOB’s being Investment Banking / Capital Markets, Global Transaction Services, Global Loan Products & Global Leasing. The role is part of a team of 7 onshore & 3 offshore resources and will provide the following opportunities: Interaction with the Investment Banking & Capital Markets business partners, business management and global finance partners Opportunity to gain knowledge of the IBK & Capital Markets product suite and how the business operates Exposure to and interaction with other control functions (Legal, Accounting Policy, Tax, COO, Operations, Regulatory Reporting and FP&A) Opportunity to develop accounting knowledge Core Skills: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Equivalent) or CFA with good working knowledge of accounting concepts preferable: Applies Financial Accounting & Reporting Expertise Excellent written and verbal communication skills Control focused with attention to detail Ability to interrogate high volumes of data within excel Inquisitive mind-set Demonstrates Financial Acumen Ability to work with multiple groups and stakeholders across the business and various control functions Tax knowledge beneficial Bank of America: Every day, across the globe, our employees bring a commitment to our purpose and to driving responsible growth by living our values: deliver together, act responsibly, realize the power of our people and trust the team.
