Job Description: Job Title: EMEA Credit Trading Assistant - Global Loans & Special Situations Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President Location: London Role Description: Bank of America is hiring a Trader Assistant that supports the Global Loans & Special Situations Desk within Global Credit. The TA will be responsible for numerous support tasks such as booking trades, trade validation, trade maintenance, portfolio review, break investigation & resolution, assisting with marking positions, report preparation as well as control and query work. The role is well suited to a conscientious, hardworking and motivated individual. The successful applicant will work closely with Front Office & other stakeholders across a variety of asset classes Responsibilities Book new trades, adhering to the necessary regulatory framework and legal entity strategy Work with support partners to make necessary amendments to trades Assist the Traders to mark their positions and prepare daily PnL flash Monitor and process time sensitive requests relating to trade bookings, settlement issues and/or downstream feeds Work with the desk to monitor and minimize FX exposure Submit house and client orders in CDS Credit Event Auctions Resolve Risk and P&L issues - Work closely with Front Office, Risk and P&L to resolve issues in a timely manner Monitor news flow and where relevant, advise support partners of upcoming events Resolving client issues – working with sales and client management teams to ensure that client issues are addressed and resolved. Resolve queries for the trading desk and related support partners Cooperate with trading, sales, COO teams and often other LOB partners to enable the business Build and maintain relationships across senior business leads and support partners Involvement is various initiatives across both the business and the trade control organisation The Team: The Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses. Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations. Core Skills: Good attention to detail Interpersonal skills Ability to work diligently and independently, drive to ensure necessary work is completed to a high standard Understanding of the regulatory environment, legal entity strategy and the importance of robust internal controls Communicates and partners well with others to accomplish goals. Working knowledge of secondary loans, bonds, CDS, IRS and equity products is an advantage Proficient in Excel.
