Contract Manager

Job Description

Contracts Manager – Law Firm – London

A leading international law firm is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its Risk Management function in London. This is a high-impact role supporting the General Counsel team, with a focus on managing supplier contracts across a global, technology-driven environment. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in shaping contract governance and procurement processes.

The Role:

You will take ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle of supplier contracts across the UK business, with particular focus on technology, SaaS, and outsourcing arrangements. Acting as a trusted adviser, you’ll partner with legal, procurement, information security, and business teams to negotiate robust agreements aligned to the firm’s risk appetite.

This role offers broad exposure across a global matrix organisation, combining hands-on negotiation work with systems oversight and process improvement responsibilities. Success will be measured by your ability to balance risk, commerciality, and operational efficiency, while building strong internal relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and negotiate a wide range of supplier agreements, including SaaS, IT, and outsourcing contracts

• Engage with internal stakeholders to define requirements and manage contract timelines

• Collaborate with Information Security and Data Privacy teams on contractual protections

• Advise on contractual risk, terms, and best practice across procurement processes

• Support and enhance the contract management system and procurement workflows

• Coordinate global contract frameworks across jurisdictions

• Deliver training and promote effective use of procurement systems

About You:

• Law degree (UK or commonwealth equivalent)

• Strong experience in contract management and commercial procurement, ideally in a global organisation

• Proven track record negotiating technology and vendor agreements

• Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks (including GDPR and data protection)

• Experience working with contract management systems and procurement tools

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior level

• Commercially minded with a clear understanding of risk and operational priorities
