Cardiff | £70,000-£80,000 DOE + Car Allowance + Bonus

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate Building Surveyor to join a growing and highly regarded building consultancy team in Cardiff. Working with a strong national client base including major institutional investors, this role offers exposure to a wide range of commercial projects and the chance to take on greater autonomy, client responsibility and career progression. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment, with clear opportunities to develop your specialism and progress your career.

The Role

You will work across a broad range of commercial building surveying instructions, supporting both project and professional workstreams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Contract administration on commercial projects
• Technical Due Diligence (TDD)
• Dilapidations (landlord & tenant matters)
• Building pathology and defect analysis
• General professional Building Surveying services 

You will work with a variety of clients across the commercial property sector, helping deliver high-quality advice and building long-term relationships.

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded Building Surveyor who is ready to step into an Associate-level position or already operating at this level.

You will typically have:

• Degree in Building Surveying and MRICS qualified (essential) 
• Strong experience within a commercial consultancy environment
• Experience across professional and/or project-led Building Surveying work
• Good understanding of building contracts in a commercial context
• Ability to manage workload and deliver to fee targets
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing client relationships
• Excellent report writing and communication skills

You will be confident working both independently and as part of a wider team.
