Job Title: Airframe / Aerospace Fitters (x2) - Hourly Paid £18.50 PH - OT Paid at 1.5 first 10 hours then 2x after

About the RoleAre you looking for a fresh challenge with a forward-thinking organisation in the high-tech engineering sector? We are recruiting experienced Airframe Fitters to join a well-established aerospace manufacturer at their purpose-built facility in Dukinfield.

As an Airframe Fitter, you will play a key role in assembling metallic aerospace structures, ensuring all operations are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out assembly operations in line with Standard Operating Procedures and aerospace quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate tools and equipment safely, ensuring all are correctly calibrated.
• Perform key processes including drilling, countersinking, riveting, sealant application, and fitting of helicoils, bearings, and bushes.
• Demonstrate practical skills through a trade test (2nd stage interview).

Essential Requirements

• Aerospace airframe/structural assembly experience, ideally within the aerospace sector.
• Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings and aerospace specifications.
• Commitment to safe working practices and compliance with 5S standards.
• Proficiency in a range of aerospace fitting processes.

Working Hours

• Standard hours can be compressed into a four-day working week: Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 4:30pm.
• Overtime: first 10 hours paid at 1.5x hourly rate, any additional hours at double time.
